You would be wise to make money blogging by promoting affiliate products. Again this is free. You can sign up at either Clickbank or Paydotcom and promote any of their affiliate products with a special link. You would then write reviews on your blog about the product and place your link at the end of the review. Once someone clicks and purchases the product you get paid a percentage of the sale. A great income maker even for newbies.

How to make money with blogs tip #3:
Once your blog is set up and has a couple of posts on it you will need to drive traffic to it so that you can showcase your products and information. One of the best ways to drive traffic to your blog is by writing articles. Yes, article marketing is a great traffic builder and it is free. It is pretty simple to write a 300-500 word article once you know the basics. One of the basics of article writing is doing keyword research. Keywords are 2-3 word phrases that people are typing into the search engines like Google or Yahoo to get information on their needs or problems. Once you find a keyword that gets at least 800 searches a month you can use that keyword in your article to drive traffic to your blog.
